SUBSTANCE: proposed shock absorber provides two-stage variation of rigidity of damping characteristic depending on vibration frequency of sprung mass and acceleration and amplitude of vibrations of upspring mass owing to new operation cycle of damping unit increasing efficiency of body vibration damping in low frequency resonance zone and vibrations of wheels at high accelerations directed upwards and downwards and large values of high frequency amplitudes. EFFECT: improved smoothness of riding, reduced probability of suspension bumps, at compression and rebound strokes, improved road holding capacity of vehicle. 2 cl, 1 dwge
