METHOD FOR GIVING XENON MASK TYPE ANESTHESIA

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves administering weak tranquilizer in performing premedication treatment, for instance, with atropine. Denitrogenization is carried out with pure oxygen in open contour mode under condition of 6-8 l/min gas flow rate. Not more than 500 ml of oxygen is left in respiratory sack after switching to closed contour. Xenon is delivered to the anesthesia device system in the amount of 1.3 vital capacity of patient lungs during 1.5-2 min in keeping its concentration not greater than 70%. After reaching anesthesia state, the mask is taken off and laryngeal and following anesthesia is carried out under condition of low gas flow rate by supporting oxygen concentration at the level of not less than 30%. The respiratory sack overflow occurring, the residual quantity of anesthesia gas mixture is removed into device for xenon regeneration. The operation being over, xenon supply is switched off and oxygen is supplied into the narcosis device during 5 min. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in removing alveolar nitrogen; improved quality of anesthesia.
