Zusammenfassung:FIELD: oxidation catalysts. SUBSTANCE: catalyst containing platinum group metal on oxidized metal carrier is distinguished by containing platinum (0.01-0.02 5) and oxidized nichrome. Catalyst is prepared by oxidizing nichrome at 750-800 C for 3-5 h followed by applying platinum onto thus prepared carrier using immersion of the latter into aqueous solution containing mol/l [Pt(NH3)4]Cl2 and 0.01-0.005 mol/l potassium hydroxide in closed space at 170-210 C for 90-180 min at bulk volume of carrier to solution volume ratio from 1:13 to 1:14.
