Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: vacuum-type water intake is intended for year-round and stable delivery of water from upper layer of reservoir to water inlets of turbines of hydroelectric stations with all types of dams. This can effectively equalize temperature modes in head-water and tail-water of dam without reconstruction of dam and stopping its power-generating units, thus fully maintaining and restoring ecology of river in tail-water of dam. Vacuum water intake is installed on face side of dam at side of its head-water. Installed at sides of turbine water duct are bearing members connected with dam body by hinge. Moored to bearing members is catamaran ship. Vacuum water intake is connected with spillway threshold. Entire structure possesses adjustable floatability and is movable along bearing members at emptying and filling of reservoir. Located in front of catamaran ship is scow which is provided at its sides with wing-breakwaters. Scow is connected with gates of water-intake openings through system of levers and hydraulic cylinder. Scow is connected with catamaran ship pivotally through housing and wings. Vacuum water intake is provided with required seals. Fans are installed in ceiling of spillway chamber. To provide stable water wave at spillway threshold, ensuring water flow rate which is needed and preventing water delivery from reservoir water levels which are below threshold level, it is possible to switch on fans so as to reduce air pressure in spillway chamber of vacuum water intake, thus shifting forward water spillway wave along threshold to increase water flow velocity at threshold and consequently to prevent water delivery from reservoir levels lying below spillway threshold.
