Zusammenfassung:FIELD: metallurgy; metallurgical heat-power engineering and metallurgical furnaces. SUBSTANCE: recuperator has checker made from ceramic tubes and connecting members enclosed in chamber provided with inlet and outlet passages, as well as above-recuperator and under-recuperator chambers. Inlet passage has section varying over length of T-shaped passage; ratio of minimum distance h between walls of inlet passage to maximum distance H between them ranges from 0.1 to 0.6; ratio of maximum distance H between walls to distance S between axes of T-shaped members ranges from 0.35 to 0.5 and ratio of thickness δ of web of T-shaped member to its length 1 ranges from 0.001 to 0.5. Total area F of inlet passages is determined from the following relationship:where F is total area if inlet sections of passages, sq.m; Q is rate of flow of air entering all passages of recuperator, cu.m/s; ΔP is pressure differential between air and smoke ducts, kgf/sq.m; K is empirical coefficient characterizing the hydraulic resistance of inlet passages which ranges from 0.25 to 0.30 s*kg/m. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
