Zusammenfassung:Novel 4-oxo-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidine-3-carboxylic acid derivatives of the general formula in which R represents an alkyl group having 1-12 carbon atoms, which can optionally be substituted by an alkoxycarbonyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, and furthermore denotes a cycloalkyl group having 3-9 carbon atoms, an adamantyl group or an optionally substituted phenyl group, R represents hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms or R and R together form a chain of the formula -(CH2)n- in which n represents 4, 5 or 6, R represents hydrogen, halogen or an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms and R represents hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, while the meaning of m is 0 or 1. The compounds have gastroprotective activity. They are prepared in analogy to known processes.
