Zusammenfassung:	The leak detecting system using a bracer gas consists of a pipe (2) fitted with a fore-vacuum valve (5) enabling a vessel under test (4) to be connected to the input of a fore-vacuum pump (1, 19), a gas analyser (6) connected to the input of a mechanical backing pump (7) whose output is connected through piping (8, 812) to a high-vacuum pump (9, 19), at least one link fitted with an input valve connecting the said vessel (4) to the said mechanical backing pump (7), characterised in that it also includes a second mechanical backing pump (14) situated on the said pipe (2) downstream from the said fore-vacuum valve (5).
