METHOD FOR SYNTHESIS OF NOVEL 3-(4-METHOXYBENZYL)CYCLOALKANESPIRO-5-HYDANTOINS

According to this invention, a method for synthesis of novel 3-[(4-substituted phenyl)methyl]imidazolidine-2,4-diones of the general formula (I), where n is 1 or 2, as well as 3-[(4-methoxyphenyl)methyl]-7,8-benzo-1,3-diazaspiro[4.5]decane-2,4-dione (II) is characterized in that cycloalkanespiro-5-hydantoin (III) as well as 7,8-benzo-1,3-diazaspiro[4.5]decane-2,4-dione (IV) are reacted with 1-(chloromethyl)-4-methoxybenzene (V) in the convenient solvent, N,N-dimethylformamide, in the presence of potassium carbonate at temperature of 25-80°C. Postupak za dobijanje novih 3-[(4-supstituisani fenil)metil]imidazolidin-2,4-diona opšte formule (I), u kojoj n iznosi 1 ili 2, kao i 3-[(4-metoksifenil)metil]-7,8-benzo-1,3-diazaspiro[4.5]dekan-2,4-diona (II) okarakterisan je prema ovom pronalasku time što cikloalkanspiro-5-hidantoin opšte formule (III) kao i 7,8-benzo-1,3-diazaspiro[4.5]dekan-2,4-dion (IV) reaguju sa 1-(hlormetil)-4-metoksibenzenom (V) u pogodnom organskom rastvaraču, N,N-dimetilformamidu, u prisustvu kalijum-karbonata na temperaturi od 25 do 80°C.
