Zusammenfassung:	A complex veterinary prepn. used during gestation, consists of collagen (not denatured) of 260000-400000 mol. wt., crystalline progesterone and formaldehyde, in a weight ratio of collagen:hormone and collagen:formaldehyde. Prepn. consists of taking 1000-3000 pts. in a soln. contg. 1:1.5% collagen in 0.5M acetic acid and 12-75 pts. progesterone. The mixt. is brought to pH 6.8-7.0 with 1M NaOH soln. and the prepn. is crosslinked at 20-25 deg. C in the presence of 0.27-1.05 pts. formaldehyde (37%). The prepn. which congeals easily at -30 deg. C is tabletted.
