METHOD OF ASSESSMENT OF PROTEIN PHOTODEGRADATION

The invention relates to a method of assessment of protein photodegradation by photoluminescence, the albumin being one of the most important proteins present in blood. According to the invention, the method allows determination of protein degradation level, depending on the time of exposure to UV light by photoluminescence, the photodegradation level being calculated by using experimental values of photoluminescence (PL) spectra intensity in the initial state, i.e. before exposure to UV light and in the final state, respectively, i.e. after the exposure to UV light for a certain period of time. Invenţia se referă la o metodă de evaluare a fotodegradării proteinelor prin fotoluminiscenţă, albumina fiind una dintre proteinele cele mai importante care se află în sânge. Metoda conform invenţiei permite determinarea gradului de degradare al proteinei, funcţie de timpul de expunere la lumina UV prin fotoluminiscenţă, gradul de fotodegradare fiind calculat folosind valorile experimentale ale intensităţilor spectrelor de fotoluminescenţă (PL) în starea iniţială, adică înainte de expunerea la lumină UV şi respectiv finală, adică după expunerea la lumina UV pentru o anumită perioadă de timp.
