Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a device connected to the exhaust of the artificial breathing apparatus which takes over the air exhaled by the intubated and mechanically ventilated patient reducing the bacterial, fungal and viral microbiological load thereof, before it is released into the atmosphere of the intensive care unit, by controlled exposure to ultraviolet radiation of C type-UVC. According to the invention, the device consists of a cylinder (I) made of polypropylene with a reflective inner surface (6) made of Al, a UVC radiation source (4) as a tube with low pressure mercury vapour discharge, centrally positioned on the axis of the cylinder (I) and supported by the support (7), an electrothermal flow transducer (2) which, through the port (3), is connected to a mechanical ventilator, at 250 mm from the bottom of the cylinder (I) there is positioned a hole (5) wherethrough the auxiliary device for monitoring the UVC radiation intensity is inserted, at the top of the cylinder (I) there is positioned a disc (8) made of Cu, provided with a number of 100...150 holes wherein sections of Cu pipe with a length of 30 mm and the inner diameter of 3.2 mm are mounted, perpendicular to the Cu disc (8), the cylinder (I) being closed at the top by a cover (10) provided with slots (9), an electronic module (12) of 230 V supplies the UVC radiation source (4), and, by means of the electronic signaling-warning module (11), the device operation is monitored, the time of exposure to UVC radiation ranging between 0.8...1.2 minutes. Invenţia se referă la un dispozitiv conectat la evacuarea aparatului de respiraţie artificială care preia aerul expirat de către pacientul intubat şi ventilat mecanic reducând încărcătura microbiologică bacteriană, fungică şi virală, a acestuia, înainte de a fi eliberat în atmosfera salonului de terapie intensivă, prin expunerea controlată la radiaţie ultravioletă de tip C, UVC.
