Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a process used for removing direct and acid dyes from the effluents resulting from leather industry, using TiOnanoparticles. According to the invention, the process consists in adding, in the effluent with direct dye content, a TiOconcentration ranging between 0.05...0.1 g/l, or a TiOconcentration ranging between 10...15 mg/l in the effluent with acid dye content, followed by stirring for 30 minutes at dark, the dispersion being further irradiated with a UV source of 365 nm, for 2 hours, at the distance of 15 cm, to result in a photodegradation of the direct dye with an efficiency of 99% and 97%, respectively, for the acid dye.
