Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to metallic tiles coated with glazes with photovoltaic potential for making good use of solar energy and to a process for manufacturing the same, the glazing of the said tiles also including secondary raw materials obtained from wastes recycling. According to the invention, the tile has some longitudinal slots (2) made on 2/3 of its length, it has a first thin glazing layer (3) with the role of cathode and a second thin layer (4) with the role of anode, both glazing layers, with semiconductor role, being doped with chemical elements of the groups III, IV and VII of the periodic table, it has a conductive layer (5) on the posterior side, in the slots (2) and on the upper side, over which the tile interconnecting bars (6) and the main band (7) for connecting the tile rows to one another, the slots (2) being filled with a material (8) with thermo- and hydro-insulating properties. As claimed by the invention, the process consists in coating the upper side of the tile (1), by spraying/brushing, with a thin layer (3) of glazing doped with chemical elements of the groups III-IV, the tile (1) is introduced into the furnace where it is heated from the ambient temperature up to 1000°C, kept for 15 min and then subjected to a slow cooling, a second thin layer (4) of glazing doped with elements of the group VII is applied by spraying/brushing, the tile (1) is reintroduced into the oven where it is subjected to the same thermal treatment as above, the posterior side, the slots (2) and the upper side of the tile (1) are coated with the conductive layer (5), over the conductive layers (5) the interconnecting bars (6) as well as the main band (7) for connecting the tile rows to one another are applied, and in the end the slots (2) are filled with a material with thermo- and hydro-insulating properties.
