Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a thermochromic device and to a process for making the same, using polymeric fibres obtained by electro-spinning, with application in the field of display devices and optoelectronics. According to the invention, the flexible thermochromic device consists of a polymeric fibre network coated with a metallic layer, on which predefined configurations of thermochromic paint are subsequently applied. The process, as claimed, consists in preparing the polymeric fibre networks as non-woven meshes, using the electro-spinning process, followed by coating the polymeric fibre network with a uniform metallic layer by cathode sputtering or thermal evaporation, attaching the metal-coated polymeric fibre networks to flexible substrates by heating or by exerting a certain pressure and, finally, making the desired thermochromic paint configurations on the structures resulted from the previous step.
