STANDARDIZED EXTRACTS OF FALLOPIA CONVOLVULUS AND FALLOPIA AUBERTII - PREPARATION PROCESS AND THERAPEUTIC USE

The invention relates to a process for preparing a vegetal extract to be used as adjuvant in the therapy of diabetes mellitus of type 2. According to th invention, the process consists in that a vegetal raw material selected between Fallopia convolvulus and Fallopia aubertii is sorted and crushed, and then the vegetal product is refluxed three times with 50% ethanol in a vegetal product : solvent mass : volume ratio of 1:5 for 30...60 min, further on the mixture is successively filtered at a normal pressure, and a reduced pressure, under vacuum, the extractive solution is subjected to concentration in a rotary evaporator, at a temperature of 50°C, after which the concentrated aqueous suspension is subjected to drying, wherefrom an extract with a content of 20.94...27.13 g % total polyphenols, expressed as quercetol, is obtained, said extract being further conditioned for use.
