Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a flow meter for biphase solid-liquid mixtures of the same cryogenic fluid, in particular nitrogen and hydrogen, that are employed in cryogenic installations under certain working conditions. According to the invention, the flow meter comprises a number of serially-mounted circular capacitors (C1, C2), having a shape intended to permit and determine the flowing of the biphase mixture and the passing thereof through the inside of the plates of the capacitors (C1, C2), the said circular capacitors (C1, C2) being placed at a certain distance from one another, having provided some insulating spacers and being included in an electronic arrangement which allows them to be read upon fluid pass, the reading of each circular capacitor (C1, C2) being performed irrespective of the other ones, each value being measured and recorded continuously, a mathematical computing block processing and comparing the value of the measured capacity of one of the capacitors (C1, C2) with the value as measured during the calibration process, the density of the biphase mixture being determined thereby and, by computing the function of cross correlation of two simultaneously measured capacity values for two of the circular capacitors (C1, C2), there is determined the flowing rate of the biphase fluid through the coating of the capacitors (C1, C2). |
