Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a girdle meant to support abdominal muscles and to a process for carrying out the same. According to the invention, the girdle is made of cotton yarns having a fineness Nm 50/2 and elastomer yarns having a diameter of 500...950 μm, arranged in a warp ratio of 2:1, and polyamide yarns having a diameter of 0.23 mm in weft, combination weave. The process claimed by the invention consists in warping cotton yarns at a constant yarn tension of 0.24...0.30 gf/dtex, denting, weaving at a rate of 850 rpm, the so made product being then subjected to a sequence of stages of washing, degreasing, rinsing and drying, having the following characteristics: a breaking strength of at least 20 daN in warp and at least 150 daN in weft and a breaking elongation of at least 125% in warp and at least 30% in weft. |
