CONVERTIBLE MOTOR VEHICLE BODY SYSTEM

The invention relates to a convertible motor vehicle body system. According to the invention, the body system intended, in particular, to close/release a motor vehicle load carrying compartment (1), comprises a roof assembly (3) which is fixed as to slide along some upper slides (12, 13) mounted on a vehicle cabin (2), two lateral dump shutters (38, 39) sliding under the roof assembly (3), some rear pillars (18) assembled with the roof (3) and fixed as to slide along some slides (7) mounted on the lateral sides of the load carrying compartment (1), and a tail gate (5) vertically foldable in relation to the rear pillars (18), so that the slides (12, 13) are fixed, in the front part, onto the cabin (2), by some resilient means, while, in the rear part, they are fixed by some resilient means onto a front wall (10) integral with the motor vehicle load carrying compartment (1), the roof assembly (3) being provided with some front and rear male means for relative blocking on the vertical and transverse direction, which cooperate with some front female blocking means provided on the motor vehicle cabin (2) and some rear female blocking means, respectively, provided on the front wall (10) integral with the load carrying compartment (1), a central lock (58), whose tongue is locked within a pocket (62) located at the top of the front wall (10), blocking the body system on the longitudinal direction, in the position with the fully released load carrying compartment (1).
