Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a process for preparing eprosartan, consisting in the reaction of the 4-[(2-n-butyl-5-formyl-1H-imidazole-1-il)methyl]benzoic or the addition bisulphite compound thereof with the C1-4 monoalkyl esther of the (2-t ienylmethyl) propandioic acid, in low pressure conditions and in the presence of a piperidine catalyst or piperidine propionate and propionic acid in excess. Invenţia se referă la un procedeu pentru prepararea eprosartanului care constă în reacţia acidului 4-[(2-n-butil-5-formil-1H-imidazol-1-il)metil]benzoic sau a compusului bisulfitic de adţie al acestuia cu esterul monoalchil C1-4 al acidului (2-tienilmetil) propandioic, în condiţii de presiune redusă şi în prezenţa unui catalizator de piperidină sau propionat de piperidină şi acid propionic în exces. ŕ
