Invenţia se referă la un procedeu de recuperare a fenolului din apele reziduale prin extracţie lichid-lichid cu un solvent organic. Extracţia se realizează la presiune atmosferică şi 30...40°C utilizând ca solvent metil terţ-butil eter într-un raport volumic soluţie apoasă : solvent de 0,05...0,1:1.
