Zusammenfassung: | The invention refers to a method for cannon barrel autofrettage, which leads to the canon barrels' increased resistance to internal pressure, due to their plastic and elastic deformation by means of a disruptive explosive. The method uses the energy stored in disruptive explosives and consists of the insertion of a powder explosive (9), located in a non-metallic envelope (8), inside a barrel (1) subject to autofrettage. and the use of water as a transmission medium (11) for shock-waves. In order to achieve the desired autofrettage coefficient, and also taking into account the geometry of the cannon barrel, the density of the explosive load of the envelope (8) is modified. Also, in order to eliminate the end effect, it is necessary to use two cylindrical extensions, a higher (2) and an upper (3) one. |
