Zusammenfassung:The invention refers to a variety of potato (Solanum Tuberosum L.), named Casin, obtained through sexual hybridization by cross-breeding the varieties Biranco x Adretta. Its cultivation is recommended for the soil and conditions of the country, especially in the regions that are very suitable for this type of plant. It is intended for fresh and processed (crisps, chips, starch and alcohol industry) consumption. The shrub is well developed, rich in leaves, its flower is white and the tuber has a round-oval shape. The colour of the tuber skin is yellow, as well as the pulp. The eyes are semi-deep. It is a mid to late season variety, with a vegetation period of 100 - 110 days. It is resistant to potato canker, with an average resistance to viruses and blight. The tubers contain 18 ... 20 percent starch, and the average production obtained is between 43.4 and 56.4 tons/hectare.
