Zusammenfassung:The invention refers to a surgically implantable drain valve, designed to reduce the intracranial pressure, for treatment of hydrocephalus. The surgically implantable drain valve consists of a drain system (A) that reacts both to pressure and position, consisting of an elastic tube casing (3), fitted at both ends with an intake valve assembly (B) and a discharge valve assembly (C), respectively. The central part of the device is provided with a flexible chamber (a) for intaking and discharging the cerebrospinal fluid under pressure, from the brain. The intake is made possible by means of a ventricular catheter (1), a socket (12) linked to the intake valve (B), and the discharge, by means of a peritoneal catheter (2), a socket (13) linked to the discharge valve (C); both the intake valve (B) and the discharge valve (C) contain a valve (18) that has a spiral spring (19) at the centre, the valve also has a cutting (23) on the generatrix. The discharge valve assembly (C) also has of a membrane disk (30) provided with an aperture (t) adjusted for a certain pressure, the disk (30) being interchangeable, according to the value of the intracranial pressure.
