Sunflower harvesting equipment with passive sections for cereal combine-harvesters

The invention refers to sunflower harvesting equipment with passive sections, which are mounted on the grain stripper of combine-harvesters, in order to extend their operating range and harvest sunflower plants. According to the invention, the sunflower harvesting equipment with passive sections is made up of plant lifters (1), whose working thickness is correlated with the pitch of the fingers of the header that is mounted on the stripper and, also, with the distance between the rows of plants to be harvested. The space between the plant lifters (1) that the stalks go through is covered with two brushes (3) made of elastic fibres, which are mounted in a reclined position on the edges (2), higher than the lifters, in order to enable the recovery of any harvest losses. The blades of the grain holder are equipped with brushes in order to avoid shedding of the plants. The equipment that is the object of this invention ensures high quality sunflower harvesting, has a simple design and, therefore, has high operating reliability and can be manufactured with minimum costs.
