In order to increase nicotine retention capacity, the cable consists of unfixed, synthetic fibres textured by false torsion, with minimum 2,500 false torsions/m, and thinness of 76-210 dtex/32 filaments, connected together by twisting with a minimum of 2,000 false torsions/m, in a cylindrical tube, with 6.5-8.5 g/m density, to a global title of 4,500-8,500 dtex. Its manufacturing method is also claimed. The filtering cable is used in cigarette manufacturing.
