The assembly further comprises a supple tip. The support and safety assembly consists of a supporting sleeve (16) for the body (20) of a syringe, and a safety component in the form of an inner sleeve (18) that can slide relative to the support sleeve between a retracted stand-by position and an active protection position when it projects beyond the supporting sleeve. The inner sleeve has a free end portion formed by a supple tip (40) with a thin end section (40A), joined to the rigid sleeve by adhesive, overmoulding, welding or a force fit. The assembly also incorporates a retaining system with flexible tongues (28, 30) and retaining surfaces (32, 34), actuated by the syringe plunger (12).
