A tapered portion (13) has an outer surface (13a) shifted along the axis and diverged with respect to the axis by moving away from the portion (11) and a cylindrical portion (12). Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a method of assembling a runner with cone (b) a hydraulic machine equipped with a runner that has a cone.
