Zusammenfassung:New substd. benzophenones are of formula (I) and their carbonyl-chromium complexes are of formula (II), in which X1 is Cl or F; X2 is H or a halogen; R1 is H, opt. substd. alkyl, mono-, di or tri-alkyl or -aryl silyl, opt. substd. benzyl, diphenyl phosphine or OH; R2 is H, alkyl, opt. substd. alkoxy, alkoxy methyl, sec. or tert. amine or amide; R3 is H, OH, opt. substd. alkyl, phenyl or amino, acetamido, carboxyl, NO2 or ester. Prepn. is by metallising a complex of formula (III), followed by acylation with a benzoyl halide to give good yields of complex (II), which are de-complexed quantitatively to o-halo benzophenones of formula (I).
