CONVEYING DRUM FOR THE TOBACCO-PROCESSING INDUSTRY

The invention relates, inter alia, to a conveying drum (10) for the tobacco-processing industry, said drum comprising an outer drum body (12), the drum body (12) being rotatably or rotatingly driven about an axis of rotation of the conveying drum (10), and the drum body (12) having receiving grooves (14) circumferentially spaced one behind another for receiving rod-shaped articles (20) for the tobacco-processing industry, wherein: the conveying drum (10) has, in the interior, a control body (16), which is surrounded by the drum body (12), for controlling and/or applying negative pressure to the rod-shaped articles (20) disposed in the receiving grooves (14) in a conveying region for the rod-shaped articles (20) on the conveying drum (10); the control body (16) has at least one vacuum opening (18); and the receiving grooves (14) of the drum body (12) are baseless and the at least one vacuum opening (18) of the control body (16) is communicatively connected to the baseless receiving grooves (14) of the drum body (12) in the conveying region for the rod-shaped articles (20).
