Zusammenfassung:	The present disclosure relates to a method for producing a panel having a sealed panel edge, comprising at least the method steps of: providing a raw panel comprising a panel upper face, a panel lower face and at least one pair of panel edges lying opposite each other, the raw panel having a carrier plate core and a print substrate layer, which is applied to the panel upper face; forming a chamfer between at least one panel edge of the pair of panel edges lying opposite each other and the panel upper face; sealing the at least one panel edge, the sealing comprising impregnation with an impregnating agent, the impregnating agent being applied to the at least one panel edge and to the chamfer. The present disclosure also relates to a raw panel produced by means of the method and to an assembly of such a panel with a baseboard, the baseboard having a decoration side and at least one baseboard edge adjoining the decoration side, the baseboard having a carrier plate core and a print substrate layer, which is applied to the decoration side, and the baseboard edge having the impregnating agent.
