STRAIGHTENING MACHINE, MAINTENANCE DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MAKING STRAIGHTENING ROLLS ACCESSIBLE FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF A STRAIGHTENING MACHINE

The present disclosure relates to a straightener, a maintenance device and a method for making straightening rolls accessible for the maintenance of the straightener. The straightener has a pluralityof upper straightening rolls arranged on an upper roll stand and a plurality of lower straightening rolls arranged on a lower roll stand, the upper straightening rolls and the lower straightening rolls being arranged such that, in a working area, a straightening gap is formed between the inlet and the outlet of the straightener in order to act on a metal strip or a metal part to be straightened from above and from below and to guide the metal strip or the metal part in the working direction through the straightener from the inlet to the outlet. The straightener has a lower sliding plate , thelower sliding plate enables the lower straightening rollers to be moved out of and into the working area of the straightener transversely to the working direction on the operation side of the straightener. The straightener is provided with a replacement edge frame used for being inserted into the straightening gap, and the replacement edge frame is configured such that when the lower sliding plateis moved out of the working area, the replacement edge frame can be placed on the lower straightening rollers and the upper straightening rollers can be placed on the replacement edge frame.
