GROOVED COUCH ROLL AND DEVICE COMPRISING THE SAME

The invention relates to a roll (100), i.e. a couch roll (100), for a forming section of a device for producing a fibrous web (FB), in particular a paper or cardboard web, wherein the roll has a longitudinal axis (102) and a substantially cylindrical outer surface (104), wherein the outer surface (104) comprises at least one groove (106, 108), and the groove extends around the longitudinal axis (102) of the roller (100) in a substantially threaded manner. The pitch (a) of the substantially threaded grooves (106, 108) is greater than 10 mm, preferably greater than 12 mm, and the outer surface (104) comprises two grooves (106, 108), wherein the two grooves each extend substantially threadingly about the longitudinal axis (102) of the roll (100), one of the two grooves (106) extends from a central plane (110) of the roll (100), the central plane is oriented orthogonally to the longitudinal axis (102), to a first end (112) of the longitudinal axis (102) of the roller (100), and the other of the two grooves (108) extends from the central plane (110) to a second end (114) of the roll (100), which is opposite the first end of the longitudinal axis (102), of the longitudinal axis (102). The invention further relates to a device comprising such a roll (100).
