HEARING DEVICE TETHER WITH ACOUSTIC DECOUPLING SECTION

A hearing article having an acoustic decoupling section is provided. In an exemplary embodiment, a hearing article described herein includes comprises first and second hearing devices, a tether having a first end attached to the first hearing device and a second end attached to a second hearing device, wherein the tether includes a first acoustic decoupling section proximate the first end, a second acoustic decoupling section proximate the second end, and a substantially straight intermediate section between the first and second acoustic decoupling sections, the first and second acoustic decoupling sections comprising first and second predetermined shapes, and wherein the tether has a solid cross-section and is non-metallic and does not include a metallic wire core.
