PREPARATION OF ROD-LIKE SMOKING PRODUCTS

The invention relates to a method for producing rod-shaped smoking products, and a conveying system, preferably on a drum machine of the tobacco processing industry or filter attachment machine. The conveying system has a first conveying section with a first cutting drum and a first cutting device arranged on the first cutting drum for cutting the rod-shaped products, and a second conveying section with a second cutting drum and a second cutting device arranged on the second cutting drum for cutting the rod-shaped products, wherein in the first conveying section, the rod-shaped products are conveyed on the first cutting drum at a predetermined distribution interval between the receiving pockets of the first cutting drum; in the second conveying section, the rod-shaped products are conveyedon the second cutting drum at a predetermined second distribution interval between the receiving pockets of the second cutting drum; and the predetermined first distribution interval of the first cutting drum of the first conveying section is equal to or greater than the predetermined second distribution interval of the second cutting drum of the second conveying section.
