Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to novel strains of Escherichia coli and fermentation processes involving these microorganisms. More specifically, the present invention relates to genetically-modified Escherichia coli strains and the use thereof for the production of the amino acids, particularly members of the aspartate family of amino acids such as threonine. The present invention also relates to methods of preparing E. coli strains for use in the fermentative production of amino acids.
