Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to flat heating apparatus, preferably for central heating systems, and a process for manufacturing flat heating apparatus. In this connection, the flat heating apparatus has a heating pipe arrangement (12, 14, 28) which extends, in particular, between a flow pipe and return pipe on a plate-like structure (16A). A heating medium is conveyed through the heating pipe arrangement (12, 14, 28) which has a main direction extending in the convection direction of the air and extends between an upper and a lower end section of the heating apparatus. According to the invention, the heating pipe system (12, 14, 28) has, on the lower end section of the flat heating apparatus, regions which with their extension are set back in relation to the other region of the heating pipe system (12, 14, 28) with respect to the plate-like structure (16A) with the result that convection of the air is hardly affected.
