The invention relates to a drying appliance which comprises at least one process air system. The system comprises at least one closed process air loop, at least one process air blaster integrated to the process air loop, at least one component which is arranged in the course air loop and connected on a pumping side and in front of the process air blaster, as least one washing system used to clean the component during washing, and at least one appliance electronic component used to control and/or adjust the process air blaster and the washing system, wherein the appliance electronic component is used at least to activate the process air blaster for a short time during the washing. The process air blaster is arranged in a bent area of the process air loop and designed into a runoff-type blaster; and on a pressure side, a process air channel of the process air loop located behind the process air blaster and connected to at least a part of radial orientation of a drive axis relative to the process air blaster is axially divided into at least two mutually separated channel sectors relative to the drive axis at least in a sub-section.
