Unique characteristics: 5 percent to 50 percent of calcium oxide or calcium carbonate is introduced into diatomaceous earth. The substance is mixed and stored in aerobic conditions at the ambient temperature for 2 to 10 days. Then, the mixture is stored in anaerobic conditions for 2 to 12 months.
