Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus has a patient support cushion and a heating device that is integrated in the patient support cushion. The apparatus also has a temperature sensor that is integrated in the patient support cushion and a patient support cushion controller. The patient support cushion controller controls the heating device that is integrated in the patient support cushion based on an actual temperature value detected by the temperature sensor and a predetermined temperature value. The patient support cushion controller controls heating of the patient support cushion by the heating device based on a closed control loop that includes the heating device that is integrated in the patient support cushion and the temperature sensor that is integrated in the patient support cushion.
