The methods, kits, and primers of the present disclosure can make use of forward AHASL primers designed without use of software or other assay-design technology and can be used in a real-time PCR assay to determine the zygosity of AHASL genes encoding AHAS enzymes providing tolerance to AHAS enzyme inhibitors.
