Zusammenfassung:A lighting unit includes a glass panel including at least two spaced sheets of glass, and a lighting system based on light-emitting diodes the light-emitting portion of which is disposed facing each of the edge surfaces of the sheets of glass and carried by at least one section associated at least with the edge surface of the glass panel. The section is associated with the edge surface of the glass panel without creating thermal bridges. It is attached against the edge surface of the glass panel or demountably fixed to it.
