ILLUMINATING MIRROR PANEL COMPRISING LIGHT EMITTING DIODES

The invention relates to an illuminating mirror panel comprising light emitting diodes (100), consisting of a first transparent glass sheet (1) with front (11), rear (12) and edge (13) faces, a reflective layer (2) in a mirror region, light emitting diodes (5) providing the illuminating function, means (3) for diffusing the light coming out of the front face, forming an illuminating region (30) adjacent to the mirror region. The diodes are optically coupled to the edge (13) for guiding, into the thickness of the first glass sheet (1), light emitted by the diodes before an extraction of the light from the diodes by the diffusion means (3). The reflective layer (2) is a layer arranged on the side of the front face, absent from the illuminating region, in the mirror region, the first glass sheet with the reflective layer comprising a metal layer having a light transmission lower than, or equal to, 25%, and a light reflection measured on the side of the front face, from at least 20%. The invention also relates to the method for producing such a glass panel and to the applications thereof.
