Discharge device

The device (10) has a contact strand (12) arranged in a frame holder (11) tangentially to a contact periphery (13) of a shaft (14). A contacting area is formed between the contact strand and the contact periphery of the shaft in a notch of the contact strand. The contact strand comprises a fiber assembly that is formed from a set of carbon fibers, where the carbon fibers extend in a strand direction. The holder comprises a biasing unit i.e. helical spring, for applying defined tensile stress on the contact strand. A resistance measuring unit is arranged in a short circuit loop between ends of the contact strand. The fiber assembly is designed as a strand or a cord.
