The microwave heating apparatus comprises a microwave source (110) for generating microwaves, a cooling unit (190) for cooling the microwave source and a control unit (170). According to one embodiment, the control unit is configured to determine the efficiency of the microwave source and then to control the cooling based on the determined efficiency. The methods and the microwave heating apparatuses of the present invention are advantageous with respect to energy consumption. |
