The invention relates to a housing (1) for a domestic appliance, in particular a hand-held blender, which housing, at least in regions along its longitudinal extent, is divided into at least two shells (2, 3) which accommodate functional devices of the domestic appliance. According to the invention, it is provided that a panel arrangement (5) is arranged on at least regions of the outside of at least one shell (2). The panel arrangement (5) preferably comprises a first panel (4) and a second panel (7) which cover large parts of the first shell (2) and have recesses (10) for accommodating a third panel (11). This is suitable, in particular, for leading through and/or accommodating actuation devices and/or display devices. The selection of the materials for the panel arrangement (5) and of the process by which the latter is made can advantageously be dictated, in particular, by the desired optical and/or haptic properties of the domestic appliance, for example a particular decoration on the surface, a particularly high gloss or a functionally and optically advantageous surface structure.
