The invention provides a free wheel device (1) for an internal combustion engine starter apparatus. The free wheel device comprises an inner bearing ring (3) and an outer bearing ring (4) between which a plurality of clamping rollers (5) move in one of receiving cavities, the inner bearing ring (3) is held axially between a support shoulder (8) of the outer bearing ring (4) and a baffle disc (10) fixed to the outer bearing ring (4), and the free wheel device comprises a cap (12) at least essentially sleeve-shaped, the cap is at least partially jointed with the outer bearing ring (4) in the axial direction at one end, the radial part (15) facing inwards of an angle part (13) is jointed to the baffle disc (10) to fix the baffle disc to the outer bearing disc (4). The angle part (13) and the baffle disc (10) extend in a radial and axial spacing in a region.
