Combined route calculation

The method involves calculating an entire route (R) from a starting position (S) to a destination (D) using a calculation unit. An alternative partial route for a sub area is calculated along the entire route. A partial route (Tji) is calculated from an intermediate position (Ki) lying on the entire route based on a time-dependent travel time and/or time-dependent traffic limitations. The partial route and the entire route are stored in a memory, where the partial route is carried out for junctions in the entire route. An independent claim is also included for a route calculating device including a calculation unit.
