Zusammenfassung:	Lifting device comprises a spindle nut having a locking band with locking units which interact with latches formed on the wall of a support tube so that the spindle nut is fed into the support tube in the assembly position when the nut is coaxially aligned with the support tube and is moved into a locking position when twisted about a longitudinal axis of the support tube. Preferred Features: The locking band has a peripheral contour with guiding edges lying over each other in pairs and spaced from each other corresponding to the inner dimension of the support tube.
