Zusammenfassung:	The device has an electromechanical switch (20) selectively connecting electrical input terminals (13-15) of a rotating electromechanical machine (10) to an electrical braking torque producing device (26). Braking torque regulation inductors (116-120) are electrically connected in series between the electromechanical switch and the producing device. A contactor is connected at terminals of each inductor by switching the electromechanical switch. The torque producing device includes three resistors electrically assembled out of a star.
