Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:The method of processing raw trimethylpropane - a product of a reaction in aqueous solution of n-butyric aldehyde, formaldehyde and sodium hydroxide, purified of the diluted sodium formate (about 5 percent by mass) through the reaction of salt exchange reaction with sulphuric acid, while the formic acid obtained in the reaction is removed by distillation, together with the remaining water. It is characterised in that the raw trimethylpropane prepared in this manner is heated to the temperature of 190-200 degrees Celsius under the pressure of 4-13.3 kPa, which leads to the decomposition of the salts of trimethylpropane formates, by-products of the exchange reaction, accompanied by the release of carbon oxide. The decomposition ends, when formats are exhausted. Then, the raw trimethylpropane is subjected to high-vacuum distillation by a known method, in order to obtain the pure product.
